Le Coxy Resort

South Sikkim

This district came into focus with the inauguration of the tallest statue of Guru Padmasambhava in the world at Samdruptse overlooking Namchi, the south district headquarter.

This south district headquarter town lies about 78 Km from Gangtok. At 4400 ft it offers a panoramic view of the snowy ranges and pristine landscape all around.

The holy spot where the tallest statue of Guru Padmasambhava (105 ft) has been built.

Temi Tea Garden

The only tea garden in Sikkim it produces one of the finest tea. The gently sloping landscape lush with tea bushes look well manicured and pleasing. And the burst of innumerable cherry trees lining the road is another wonder to behold. Could also spend a night at an old British bungalow for a peaceful slumber.

A small time town and a transit point for trekkers to Maenam hill and Borong and tourists to South and West Sikkim . Wonderful landscape and an utterly peaceful zone, one could also trek to 'Shar-Chok-Bhepu', one of the four holiest caves in Sikkim .

Tendong Hill

Overlooking Namchi and above Damthang, this hillock at 8530 ft is surrounded by a lush green ageing forest. The Tendong hill is believed to have saved the Lepcha folks from the ravages of a deluge. Till date a prayer, the 'Rum Faat' is held each year on the hill to appease the deity.

Maenam Hill

Towering over the Tendong hill it looms on the other side overlooking Ravangla. At 10,300 ft the views from atop this hill is simply mind-blowing.

Borong can be accessed by a motorable road from Ravangla or a trek from Maenam. A hot spring, the 'Borong Tsachu' is a much insisted place. Coupled with its excellent landscape and views, it is simply irresistible.
